Halfway There

PET-CT was yesterday, results were today. My oncology team is stressed about my stress levels. I don’t have a magic wand. I guess I need to decide if I want to see the psychiatrist, which isn’t really my thing. I almost would like to see how my mood is impacted after we finally do my brain radiation (please let it be SRS, pleeeassse let it be SRS). Stress is bad for cancer treatment and overall wellbeing, so I need to...

Amish Jam

Lately I have been wading in the depths of anxiety and depression that I just don’t know how to get out of. I don’t feel fully myself. Less smiles, less laughs, more grumpy, more tired… I know this is possible side effects of brain mets and heck, side effects of having terminal cancer. I flew home Tuesday evening. After we loaded onto our plane in Atlanta...

Life on da Island

We have been laying back and living island style for a week now (luckily we still have a half a week before we go home! Woohoo!). Usually we have less than a week when we go to beautiful places like this and then aren’t ready to go home when it is time to get on the plane. I am much less bummed! Hehe. Maybe I will be when it is time to leave. We miss our puppies though, we have a puppy-cam, so when our puppy sitter isn’t...

Mets Matters in Utah

It matters everywhere else too, but I live in Utah. I have been working on an event that was funded by a grant from Pfizer through Heal Courageously. Pfizer has been working on being more involved with metastatic breast cancer awareness, which I appreciate. A (now) friend at Pfizer had mentioned she would really like to see an event in Utah for bloggers (of all shapes and sizes) where we had a really fun activity and also spread the...
